About

Frédéric Dumunier
DO(FR)
Fred is a French Osteopathic Manual Practitioner and a graduate of the IFOGA, a French osteopathic school in Avignon, France. He is passionate in his quest to understand the human body and its workings and how osteopathic treatment can influence this complex interactive system. He received an Honorable Mention for his graduation thesis: “Measure of the effects of osteopathy follow-up on the autonomic nervous system with the Heart Rate Variability”. Fred is also a graduate in aquatic osteopathy. He volunteered as an osteopath in many sporting events including the French Championship Athletics and Endurance Motoring. His adventurous spirit sent him to Morocco as part of the medical team for the rally race "Raid Passion Désert". As a backpacker, he has travelled to Mont Blanc, United Kingdom, Italy, Spain, Mauritius, Reunion, Malta and recently Canada. Finally, he settled down and decided to call Canada his new home. Thanks to his knowledge, he uses many different osteopathic techniques to better respond to a patients' needs and to find the origin of the problem in order to encourage the body's own healing mechanisms. He works on visceral, musculoskeletal and cranial systems with patients of all ages, from new-born babies to the elderly, as well as athletes and pregnant women. Frederic proposes to his patients a holistic approach in collaboration with other therapists to find health and wellness. Fred's favourite quote is: "I do not treat symptoms, I treat a person."
Gary Brum
RMT
After seeing how massage could benefit ailing family members from an early age, Gary decided to learn about the human body and pain management. From helping break-dancers stretch and ice achy bodies in high school, to analyzing the gait of runners while managing a shoe store, the human body has never ceased to amaze him. Educated at Sutherland-Chan School for Massage Therapy, Gary was voted class co-valedictorian due to his patient, calm and helpful demeanor. Gary chose sports therapy, Multiple Sclerosis, elderly outreach and Auto-Immune disease clinics to address and work with populations that were active, suffering with pain, in need of companionship with compassion and those that were treated unfairly due to their diagnosis. Preferred modalities include Fascial engagement, Lymph drainage, stretching and deep tissue massage. Massage to Gary is a means of connecting with the body while feeling good. Warm, strong and careful hands await your aches and pains.
Jared Thompson
B.Sc. HK, RMT, DOMP
Jared graduated from St. Francis Xavier University in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science in Human Kinetics and a Minor in Health Sciences. He then went on to obtain a Massage Therapy Diploma from Algonquin College in 2012. Jared's love for learning about the human body first began while being heavily involved in sports as a child. This interest that was sparked through an active childhood eventually led him to study Human Kinetics. While Jared was working as a Personal Trainer and Fitness Instructor for the Canadian Military his desire for a more comprehensive way to help his clients led him to massage therapy. Jared works with a diverse clientele from varsity athletes, new mothers to seniors. He has successfully treated children with developmental and neurological disorders and clients with issues resulting from scar tissue. Jared is dedicated to working one on one with his clients to implement the appropriate course of care for the best results. Jared had plans to increase his knowledge with training in Osteopathic Manual Manipulations over the coming years.

This awareness has helped her become an intuitive and focused therapist. • Jared (RMT and Osteopath) works wonders. He’s not only good at what he does in both disciplines, he’s personable and kind. Nothing but good things to say!

  • The service there is mind blowing! I got massage therapy a couple times there and everyone is so friendly and comfortable to talk to. Before even getting massage, they ask you a serious of questions from what your pronouns are to what kind of sounds you want playing during your session and most importantly if they have my consent to be massaged. The massage therapist I go to is Gary and he is very knowledgeable. He will go through and see what is wrong and explain to you what muscle is being effected. I highly recommend him! Also the person at the front desk is always helpful and has a soothing voice~

  • All the staff here are great. Fred is literally magical. Reception are great, friendly and efficient. The sauna is a little awkward at first, but for the benefit of sauna pre-massage well worth it.

  • I was late, advised them, and they responded very well. Particularly visited Frederic for an Osteopath consultation, and I strongly recommend him. Well located, great location, just the wall could stop more the noise of other rooms. Overall recommend

  • Being a Massage Therapist myself, I can be picky with who I see. Jessica fits the bill, and she's on point with caring for my body, the perfect amount of pressure, very knowledgeable, professional, and I am left feeling healed and rested. On occasion, I see Gary, whom I think has an intuitive touch, with some technical skills and professionalism. I like both of there styles. I highly recommend them!
    - Lucy Tumolo. 5/26/2019
  • I can't say enough good things about The Well. I've been seeing Jessica for massages and Dr. Manavi for Chiropractic care and they are both clear, communicative, compassionate, professional and just genuinely nice. The reception staff are always a delight as well! The Well doesn't want to keep you in pain so they can keep your business, they want to help you heal so they never have to see you again (in the nicest way possible!) I would absolutely recommend them to anyone seeking any of their services.
    - Danielle Mondoux. 5/25/2019
  • Very chill atmosphere. I've had a few different RMTs. Each is different but all put a lot of care into your treatment.

  • This place radiates good vibes. Staff are friendly, prices are reasonable, and they offer a wide variety of services. I would definitely recommend chiropractor Dr. Manavi, he is nice, professional, and communicates well. The tables/beds are sturdy and accessible, good for any size person or anyone with accessibility needs. Also queer friendly! They made sure to ask about pronouns/identified gender.
    - Laura O'Brien. 11/7/2018
  • noticed this place on my leisurely walk along Queen West and sauntered in to investigate their pricing. I was immediately greeted warmly and told about the various services they offered which all sounded too good to turn down. I immediately booked a 30 minute with Gary, which turned into a 60 minute massage - but felt like all of 15 minutes (it was that good). with their reasonable pricing, excellent and attentive service and proximity to where I live, I'll be going there lots. HIghly recommend!

  • I had the best experience at The Well. I went because I was in intense pain and having a lot of trouble working due to the physical nature of my job. I was able to see Gary on short notice and he was amazing. This place is the most professional place I have been to. Everything was explained to me before the massage and during as well. After only two sessions my pain was mostly relieved, my mobility is increased and it was worth every penny. I had 6 sessions with my last RMT and did not reach the level of health I have after only 2 sessions with Gary. Yes, your time does start as soon as you enter the room and I can understand why some people are upset with that but they do have a schedule to keep and it is still the time of the RMT you are paying for so in my opinion they should be paid for their time even if the massage has not begun. The explaination and forms is part of the service and keeps it professional and safe. And remember that they will not receive the full payment of what you are paying, as the clinic needs to get a cut as well.
    - Blake Wood. 5/4/2018
  • Jessica and Martha are great! the only downside is that the minute you enter the room that is when your time starts. meaning, the time they ask you questions, the time you undress, the time that you wait for them to enter the unit, is all in the time that you booked the massage for. I really think the time should start once the actual massage starts.
    - Gabby Obyavin. 4/8/2018
  • Mallory is wonderful! She has very caring hands and she always plays good music.
    - Nicki Iskander. 0/23/2018
  • First trip in and it will not be my last. Just had a deep tissue massage with Jessica. I have had over 100 massages over the years and Jessica is probably the best to over work on my. Technique and understanding is top shelf! Treat yourself to her work!
    - Kelsey MacAulay. 9/5/2017
  • Awesome staff, awesome massage, awesome experience.
    - Nick Prentice. 8/19/2017
  • I chose the right place to go for my first ever massage! Gary did a phenomenal job and took great care to tailor the massage to best suit my needs. Highly recommended!
    - Jeremy Potts. 6/20/2017
  • Just had the best massage of my life there last week!!! Literally still pain free a week later.
    - Andrew Ford. 3/12/2017
  • Highly recommended! My first experience at The Well was all that I hoped for and more. I will definitely be a returning customer. Thank you for an amazing experience from start to finish, not to mention the incredible massage! I left feeling renewed and re-energized and I'm already look forward to my next appointment. Thank you!!!

  • As a dental office, we are well-versed in head and neck anatomy and how bones, muscles, joints all work together for health and well-being. The fact that we refer to these RMTs says a lot of what our doctors think of them. All of the RMTs are consummate professionals with exceptional anatomical knowledge.
    - Mint Team. 7/24/2016
  • Such a fantastic clinic. They offer so many different services and also have an infrared sauna which is a great touch.
    - Suzy Naw. 6/26/2016
  • I have been looking for a good place for massage therapy for a while and I am so happy that I found this spot. It is nice to get a quality, relaxing massage in a place that is not a spa or a doctor's office. The staff are also super friendly and professional. I have had massages with both Marta and Leslie and would highly recommend both to anyone looking for a RMT.
    - Karlie Fisher. 5/3/2016
  • Good ambiance and staff. I used to come in and see Sheila who was great, after she went on mat leave I had a few hit and miss appointments trying to find a new RMT that left me slightly discouraged. However, I had the luck of having a great appointment with Leslie and haven't looked back since. I usually get a massage once a month and find that Leslie is a attentive and will focus on areas that have tension or that I have requested. Great overall experience.
    - Maria F. 1/22/2016
  • I love this place! Denise is amazing, and they always have appointments available
